im not an expert on engines or anything like that in any way, im pretty much a newbe. so i have a couple questions.

what does a cold induction kit do? and how much does it cost. i know someone said something in another post about buying it from mopar. and i think the same person said something about undoing the arm of the air intake, wouldnt this hurt the engine if it is disconnected? help me out here please.

how do i go about and how much does it cost to change my gear ratios? is it a wise thing to do or should i leave it stock? is there a huge improvement in acceleration? what consequences are there to doing this?

right now, i only have the K&N in the original air intake box and flowmasters. any suggestions on what i should so next. like the little things i can do now to help when i move on to the bigger mods. like better spark plugs? what kind? where to get them? anything like that.

i really love my truck but i want to get more out of it. im trying to start saving up more money so right now i have a low budget. much thanks guys.

the only problem with getting a lower gear is that it will kill some of your high way driving....takes more rpms to drive higher mph...

Definately get a new intake system. The factory box is a lot of space for nothing. With gears, dakid is right about having a shop do it. You could screw things up nicely if not done right. Getting lower gearing will help you with the get up and go but will kill youir highway driving somewhat. Other mods that are cheap are new autolite 3923 copper core, borg & Warner cap and rotor... A little money would be thicker spark plud wires. Although you won't see a huge increase in power with just these, they can set you up for later mods where you will be able to tell the difference. You can go to www.speedtweaks.net to find all of this stuff and some other things thta might spark your interest depending on your budget. Hope this helps.
