I want to put a flowmaster on my truck. Can i just buy one and put it in place of the old or is there special bending required to fit? I'm looking to get a 40 series. 2.5 in and out with offset in. Does that size sound right for the v6?

Yes right size, no bending requiered.

The 40 is prety loud you may want to consider the
50 series

Sorry, one more thing. Im looking in the Jeg's catalog to order this muffler and my options are 2.5 offset in/center out or 2.5 offset in/out. which one is right for my truck?

Is the 40 series so loud that it might sound bad on the truck?

Some say the 40's are so loud they don't sound good on the V6's...others love em. The ones who think the 40's are too loud usually love the 50 series though. Still loud, but not as loud as the 40. I'm still trying to decide between a 40 or a 50 and am leaning toward the 50.

I have a 2000 v6 single cab Dakota. I would like to install an exhaust system. I am looking at flowmaster exhaust. Could anyone give me details about sound and what kind to put in.
