i am wondering if anyone has ordered the "Accel Truck Super Tune-Up Kit" from summit racing

it includes...

plugs, wires, brass cap and rotor...the wires are low resistance....summits list the package for 79.95...is this a good deal, or could i put together better parts for the same amount of money???

Accel makes crap. I do however use their caps and rotors because they are brass. But in the past couple years the rotors just don't fit right. They go on very tight and once on, they actually move a little bit, which can make it hard to time. I see they are made in canada, not sure if this is a recent change or maybe I just noticed it when I was examining it to make sure it was the right part. The Accel wires are not as heat resistant as they advertise, and speaking of resistance, you can get more accurate spark from most other brands. Unless you have some kind of racing ignition you do not need any special wires anyway. Their plugs aren't the greatest, I've only heard people use them when they have clearence issues with headers and need a very short plug.
The bosch plugs are the same length, are platnum, and are cheaper. Bosch wires from pep boys are cheaper and have a lifetime warrenty. This combo with an accel cap and rotor should cost you less than $55.
You won't have those silly yellow wires and plugs under your hood though, some people are into that sort of thing.

I have the accel ignition kit you are talking about. Although I didn't pay $80 for it, I think I paid about $45 for it. Not sure why, but I got it from a local proformance shop. I love it, I could notice a diffence from the stock cap, rotor, and wires along the coil.

I had problems with the coil burning up on me and not working at all, I brought it back to the shop and they gave me another one. That happened about 3 times. But I'm not sure I would pay $80 for it, $45 seemed like a good deal to me.

Your call....
