I am lookin at gettin a flex fan for my truck, anyone had any better luck with either of these fans???

Perma cool is a little cheaper but who knows???

hey Nick,
stick with the Flex fan. its works better than the rest. i did my homework and came up with the Flex brand. YES Permas are cheaper but you'll love the Flex fan. Get it with the toggle switch also. it'll cool your truck when you in a stand still in traffic OR when you park your car. Just remember to turn it off. my opinion.........

Or better yet install it correctly with the toggle switch providing igintion switch controlled 12v; versus constant on 12v from the battery. That way you can't have the fan on when the key is out of the ignition. You'll never run your battery down.

The easiest way to do it is with a 12v relay rated for the correct current (20amps should be enough) that way you can tap any 12v switched line to trigger the relay. Cause you aren't going to find a 12v switched power source that will handle the current draw of that fan. but anything can power a relay.
