ok i have a 90 dakota and was wondering what size speakers were in the door? i need to replace them asap.. what do you recamend?

you got a club or reg cab? factory radio or not?
in the stock location in the door is 5-1/4". i prefer Polk Audio. they sound great.

according to crutchfield.com they will fit. you may need some adapter rings. i just bought some Polk db675 6-3/4" 2 ways from them. they have good pricing and excellent service. check out their site or you can call and to to a tech on their toll free number 888-955-6000. very helpful
also, check their scratch & dent or outlet stuff. saved 40 bucks on the pair of polks there.

I used 6.5 inch in the fron of my 96 and they fit fine. It is actually much better than 5 1/4. Proof, Crutchfield can certainly be wrong.

well, it seems that Polk's site agrees with Crutchfield. 5-1/4" in the front on 1990. evidently they are diff than 1996.
actually josh you can put 6-3/4" in the front doors. been there done that.

I have the polk audios as well in my truck.They are the seperates up front and coaxial in the back.They sound extremely crisp and loud if need be.

dude, i like polks. i've owned some for almost 30 years. check out www.crutchfield.com. thye can tell yoou what fits where and go from there. i think 5 x 7's will work in the rear.

I don't know if it matters or not but i put some 6" in my 88 regular cab when i had it (in the front) and with a little bit of work with the adapter rings it all went great. Fit behind the door and everything.
