Does anyone out there know of a company that makes rear disc brakes for the gen I dakota. I'm looking at doing a wheel and tire upgrade and definately need rear disc brakes. If anyone knows of a company or information that may be helpful, let me know.

Ok now this is just an idea. The 4.7 dakotas have a 8 3/4" rearend that do come with disc brakes. Now i don't know if it will just bolt up to your Gen 1. I've wanted to do the same thing and a buddy of mine has a 4.7 dak with rear discs. I need to get a hold of him so i can get a good look at it and take some measurements. I forgot you'll have to switch to Gen 2 rotor in the front because the bolt patterns are different.
You'll also have to change wheels. a set of R/T wheels would look sweet on a gen one. Another thing the brake master cylinder will have to be switch out i'll look into seeing if the master cylinder will fit from my buddy's truck or useing a mopor preformance master cylinder will work
