I usually eat a lite pasta dinner with a salad, drink plenty of fluids, and then get at least 8 hours of sleep. When I wake up the next day, no caffeine, try to have at least one bowel movement, drink more fluids, and especially stretch all my muscles.

Then I am ready for a race.

Well, those are all good answers but, i make sure all climate controls are off, crank the stereo w/ one of my speed songs (like demon speeding by rob zombie!) rev the engine a bit, then when its almost time for the light to change i keep the rpm at ~1700, when the light changes, dump the clutch in just the rightway so that i dont slip and burn the retard next me.
(oh and yes i check all mirrors for other people who want to race and COPS!)
Have fun!

I mostly just power break it up to about 2k and leave it there until the light hits green. I tun off the Overdrive button. Turn the heat on as high as it goes to try to cool off the engine for a second. Get naked then let one rip with the windows up and just inhale my nasty fumes.

now thats just
