Subject: Oil Filling Question...
IP: Logged

Message:
Last time I changed the oil in my Dakota, I would go to add some and it wouldn't seem to drain back into the pan right away. I don't know if the filler neck is in a bad spot, but I could only fill the crankcase up a few ounces at a time or it would overflow out the valvecover. The entire oil change ended up taking an hour...because it took forever to fill it up! Is this a problem I have to live with, or is something amiss here?

Thanks,
Eugene

Why wouldn't the rest of us have that problem then? We have baffles in our valve covers too...

Sounds like your baffles were beaten for clearance for RR's OR you have a Gunked up engine. Are both side doing this or just 1?

Pull covers and Investigate.
