be very careful i have a Regular cab v6 and i put some 30x9.5 yokohoma geolanders on her. These are q rated tires meaning there heavy duty for hauling loads. Now the ride sux terribly shakes at 60 and 55. Went to dodge to check it out and they say dakotas need tires with very low load ratings or none at all. although i did get some heighth about and 1 1/2 with these and no scrubing.

I just put a set of 30X9.50X15, 6 ply tires on my stock '96 2wd. I haven't experienced any of the problems Jebz240 has had. I had 235/75/15's on it before, and the new tires are 1" taller, at least that's what the dealer said..

On a 2wd truck these are as big as you can go. At full lock, left, or right, the tires will rub very slightly on the front of the inner fenderwell. Not on any metal, just the rubber, or whatever it's made of flap. With a lift kit, you probably won't even have that problem.

Since I don't drive at full lock other than to back out of a drive, and such, it isn't really a problem.

Guess you did better than me the Yokohomas i put on my Dakota are rated at 1895 lb's max load plus they are a plus 2 size tire (sidewall height) This means the rubber is hard as heck so the truck rides like crap. If you could get some passenger vechile tires in this size I would suggest doing so. I guess late models are higher no scrubbing at full lock...

I have Dayton 30x9.50-15 on my 98 V6. Switched from 215/75R15. Gives it close to 2in height. It does affect the ride slightly, not terribly though. I haven't had any rubbing problems. For the best ride, Bridgestone makes a passenger rated P265/75R15, Deueler HT, which is a tad larger than the 30x9.50. I put a set of these on the ladie's '00 dak and I love them! Can't wait for mine to wear out so I can get a set! Ride better than factory!

What is the largest tire I can put on my 2001 2wd v6 without a lift at all and on stock rims? Any help would be appreciated.

I had a Set of Walmart Liberator P235/75/R15's and loved them but they wore out quickly from my abuse, then I ran a set of BFG A/T 30X9.5's and found I had a noticeable power loss and 2-3 MPG loss, a rougher ride, the tires also looked way too big for the stock rims and had bad tire roll on sharp turns. I went back to the Wal-Mart Liberator LT235/75/R15's and found a happy medium. They are a Heavier duty tire than the Passengers and offer a harder compound but don't end up with the road noise, Power/MPG loss or the tire roll I had from the larger tires.

I know there is only a small difference in the tires but I noticed a HUGE difference in the way they performed.

I change my summers which are 265/70/16's in the winter to 265/75/16 (Ridge Runners, very grippy)
I don't notice any difference except for the speedo, it's off by a little... But try to use that when the cop is telling you, you were speeding ;)
