Subject: Engine won't idle

Message:
I have a '99 4x4 sport, 3.9 that has decided to not run. Engine barely turns over and when it does start, it will not run at idle. Just dies. It will run when I am giving it gas, but as soon as I let up it dies. I haven't had a chance to really check things out under the hood yet. I'm guessing electrical. The battery is fine Is there a voltage regulator on these things or are they built into the alternator? Any thoughts?

First check your PCV valve on the pass side valve
cover.

Check your IAC back of TB there is a hole behind
the 2 bores you can look down and see if the
valve moves away from the seat in the body

Turn the key on and off 3 times than on and see if
you get any codes.

It could be a lot of things but start with the easy stuff
