Darn, I had the same question! Too bad it won't work. I think I will have to find out the difference between the 97 and 98 Gen 3.

well, i think the main difference is the speedo went from the tranny to the differential... so it couldnt calibrate for different sized tires... dont know whats different with the fuel/timing management (if anything)
