I like the chalange the new trucks offer. Anyone can make a gen 2 fast what about a gen 3. I know for a fact on one thing the comfort of the gen 3s far surpasses the gen 2.

Gen 3 are far more comfortable but the weight keeps going up. The tires get bigger also. A good thing imo.

I would rather have a comfortable 12.7 second dakota,like Duners, than a less comfortable 12.5 second dakota.

Gen 2's have nothing special about the way they look. They are just as ugly as rangers and S10s. Who cares if gen 2's are faster I bet the rattle at speeds over 65 like jeep cherokees. Those things are so $hity looking. And maybe u gen 2 guys should test drive a gen III before you say that they aren't more comfortable. of corse a truck that weighs 500 lbs less is gonna be faster. to bad gen 2's don't last long enough to be around so i can see just how fast they are. I still dont care anyway, with a V6 4x4 they aren't the only ugly car that can Fuk me up.(0-60 finally under 11 with gibson catback and airaid hehe) Also anyone with acces to consumer reports should check the reliability ratings for gen 2's not good at all.


Gen III's may be slower but atleast we do it in style ahahahhahahaa.
this is gonna create waves. goood thing all the made gen 2 guys are gonna break down on their way over to slash my tires.

maybe i'll change my name to WPP Blackdak...hehe

I know becuse my dad had two and my grandpa had one. I have driven pretty much every single vehicle Dodge has made short of the Viper. They have more road noise and just over all feel a little more tinny. I don't think they are a bad truck or a bad choice to buy. They just don't have the creatur comforts or the looks of the gen 3. Hey its just my opinion. When you come over and wax me at the track then you can gloat.

I also had several gen 2's. 92 sport v8 (very fast), 94 long bed v6 (slow), 95 club cab (even slower). I also had several gen 3's 97 4x4 v6 club cab(very very slow), 99 4x4 v8 (faster) and my current 02 4x4 v8. (fastest). The speeds are just my opion as I had no mods on any of my trucks other than a k and n drop in on the 97. each of the equipment levels and comfort enhancements have gotten better every time I get a new one with the 02 being my favorite.

well..I do agree the 92 and 93 trucks are the best...but my 93 is gone now just have to settle for this 1996...rather have a "$hitty" gen 2 then a damn gen3 "ramlet". =P

Any of you guys on this site actually have anything insitefull to say other than bernd? I havent been here long and looks like mostly bickering to me.

oh and if it werent for gen 1's and 2's there would be no gen 3 "ramlets"
