I have never ran across a bad cam with worn lobes
in these mag engines even with 250,000 or more
on them

With the roller lifters they come with there is
virtually no friction on the lobes

You must be thinking about the old chevy SB's
where the lobes would ware down.

Sigma,

Larry's right. These roller cams are crazy reliable. I have pulled one out that had a worn lobe though. For some reason the roller on one of the lifters seized up. Don't take that to heart though. That's the only one that I've seen or heard of happening. So if you're worried about your cam, I wouldn't. Unless you need a good excuse for the old lady so you can get a bigger one. :-) Other than that, no prob bob.

Just trying to find out if there is any one spot for wear & how many miles it usually occurs.

Your right! I am thinking back to the 60 & 70's & how the cams wore out even in the Ford products. I've read here in the posts how this engine is reliable up to 175 to 250k miles. What a achievement for an American product.

Thanks J&J, MoparDude
