well the time has come to get a new muffler now and I have always had a good experience with flowmaster and i was just wondering what gives the 3.9 v6 the best sound as far as a flowmaster muffler goes. Is it the 40 series or the 50 series???

I have a 50 series Flow. Sounds great. I dont know how 40 would sound.. But personally I think 40 would sound better if u had a v8..?

I have a dualed out 40 series on my dakota
and it sounds great....purrs of the start up and
idle but when about 2400 rpms it sounds like
a v6 definitely kinda the exact sound between
muscle and rice...figuring its a v6 but other
than that it sounds great and had no problems
with it yet...the only thing that would make it
sound a lil diff if you had a drop-off at the
muffler. Bad thing about the 40 series and not
too sure about the 50 is at about 3100 rpms
you lose your flowmaster sound and then its
sounds like a lil louder version of your old 3.9
sound instead of the flowmaster sound...not
sure y.
