Hey all,
I am looking to do a couple of more small tweaks to my motor and wanted some input. So far I have the Intense stage 3 cold air intake, k and n air hat, k and n oil breather, an f and b 46 mm tb and a flowmaster 40 series single in dual out exhaust. Im thinking it might be time to change my distributor and rotor along with my plugs since they are all stock. Maybe get some new wires too. I dont really wanna change all this yet since the truck just hit 19 k but Im wondering with all these other bolt ons if the wiring, cap and plugs will make any difference. Thanks in advance.

i personaly dotn thin you will gain anything noticable except maybe alitle smoother acceleration and idle. as for the wires dont go crazy and buy the $50+ ones they dont make that big of a diffrence unless ur puting down some serious hp...taylor makes 8mm for like $20 they should work fine..just my 02

At 19,000 your stock wires will be fine unless
you upgrade the ignition than you need better
wires.

You will notice a 48mm F&B with a cold air set up
they add some nice power

Yeah I installed the cold air intake first and noticed a slight gain but nothing really, but once I installed the 48 mm tb it seemed like I got the most out of my intake. I deffintely noticed the difference. Well thanks for the input guys, I guess I will hold off on the wires and distributor until I reach some higher miles. I have heard that using fuel injector cleaner can sometimes burn up your spark plugs and since I use it I think Im going to go ahead and change my plugs(also they are still the original stock plugs). Im gonna install some autolite 3923's. Thanks again for the input guys.

I have a 96 3.9L. Its Stock except i put an exaust system on it (2 1/2" pipe, No Cat, w/single Cherry bomb). I have heard you cant adjust the timing a little bit and get a few horses? Was wandering if anyone knows about that! Also does anyone know of any more tweaks that i could do to get more horse power. ( Does anyone know where i can get a V8 TB for my truck?)

FREAKenPYRO, If your loosing power, it could be your O2 sensor. What year is your truck? Sounds like a good tune up is in order; cap, rotor, sparkplug wires, and plugs. If the tune up doesn't do it, it could possibly a problem with the timing gears and chain being too loose due to the number of miles.

Napa MO26 and MO28 cap and rotor solid brass incerts.

If your stock run the AP5224 gaped at .045

With the cold air and 48mm F&B try the
Autolite AP3923 gaped at .045
