Subject: V8 throttlebody Question
IP: Logged

Message:
I just got a V8 throttlebody, took it out of the box and took it out to compare it to the stock one. everything looks the same, aside from the stamped V8 on top, and the paint on the cable brackets.

My question is, where the throttle cable connects looks the same on both, Is it possible that my 03 V6 has the same cable as the V8?

Also how do you disconnect the cable, not the housing, from where it connects to the arm? Is is just a push on or is there a clip holding it on?

I didn't try to pull it off as I was leaving for work, but had to see what I was getting into.

some have a ball stud pull straight off or slide
the clip back and remove

and some have a flat style that you need to push
the oposite way to remove

examine close to see what you have sounds like one
of these 2 types
