What is it doing? You have to make sure the TV cable is adjusted correctly. You also have to make sure your used tranny is good.

Well it was fixed at a reputable shop, so I'm sure they got a good used tranny, at least I hope. But it's shifting a little later than what it used to. Like while cruising, it'll shift like 500 rpms later than it used to.....and if I really give it some gas....it'll take up to 1,000 rpms more than it used to before it shifts.

My truck was fixed there as a favor, I was only charged for the parts....and the tranny came out to $1,000

Oh yea and for about a time period of about 30 mins of testing it out....when I would turn it on, instead of the rpms going up to about 1,000 RPMS, and then dropping just below to idle....it would shoot up to about 3,000rpms, and just stay there....this would happen in park or idle...but then it stopped doing it after awhile.

I took it back to the shop so hopefully they fixed it.

Check your TPS voltage and adjust your TV linkage,

There is a button to press and move the cable on
the older modlels and on the newer ones you need
to disassemble and move a clip inside.

The adjustments are on the cable right by the TB
what you need to do to lower the shift points is
move the cable towards the front of the truck,
its the cable that comes in from the rear of
the braket.

Yea I need to check the TV cable, but what's my TPS voltage? Is it something I can fix/adjust myself or a shop does it?

The TPS Throttle Posistion Sensor is located on
the drivers side of the TB,

The middle wire and ground, I have seen them as
low as .35 and the truck had a bad off idle
hesitation the best I found is .7 to .74 on some
trucks if you go over that they do not return to
idle and will run high and take a while to settle
down every time you hit the gas.

Just turn the key on don't start put your volt
meter on and open and close the throttle a few
times and be sure it returns to the low voltage.
you said your motor was reving and that could be
what is causing it.

They are not adjustable but you can mod them and
adjust to get better throttle response.

Threr are a lot of good tips here

The TPS Mod
http://www.speedtweaks.ca/tipsandtricks.php#TPS_Mod

I got a new one from autozone about 6 months ago
put it on and it was reading .72, I got lucky on
that one. My stock one was .55 I moded it and
after about 10,000 miles it took a crapola on me.

I would just check the voltage on the one you
have,

middle wire + and a good ground with the key on
but don't need to be running.

Nothing online, I am retired but I still have 50%
interest in the business and all I do is play
with the dodge trucks that come in for work.

I only do it because of my love for the mopar
trucks and don't even get paid to do it. I just
love to work on them and make them run the best
I can.
