I've been reading on ebay about this chip that is supposed to be an alternative to relocating the IAT sensor. I plan on moving the IAT, but if this chip puts out the same temp all the time wouldn't it be better. Thanks in advance for your help.

These chips are a dime a dozen, and I think the horsepower gains are a little exagerated, but if it works why not???

Another scam artist in the works,

He must have a resistor in that box, you would be
farther ahead to relocate you IAT.

The only draw back to a relocation is if you live
in a cold area and it drops below 50 degree's
you have a good chance of triping your check
engine light for IAT voltage to high.

What I did was wire a second IAT in and located
it where the origanal air intake tube was so I
could switch between them on the fly from in the
cab, that way I avoid the light when it drops
below 50 here in northern wisconsin.

You could also build your own IAT adjuster with
about $10 worth of parts from radio shack.

50k ohm pot and a 1k resistor and you could tell
your computer the air is anywhere from 20 to 180
oh ya and a DPDT switch to turn it on and off

If you decide to build 1 let me know and I could
list the table of what resistance is for the dif
temp readings so you could calibrate the adjuster
