i have a 93 3.9L V6 and when i go to start it wont start on the first turn of the key. I usually have to turn the key once and it wont start then second time it will fire right up. But if ive ran it and shut if off then tryed to start it again it will fire right up. Was wondering what could be wrong?? starter, spark plugs..?? By the way i just had the solenoid connections in the starter replaced not too long ago. Another thing is..I was just wondering how many rpm's all u guys that have the V6 idles at?? mine is about 600rpm. Any info on this is greatly appreciated.

Yeah it cranks but it just wont turn over on the first turn of the key. Unless its been run be4 and then go to start it then first turn it will fire up but never else will go on the first turn.

Can someone please answer this question? My 94 3.9 auto with 137,000 started doing it recently. Could it be weather related? Age related? Thanks, Ashley

sounds like a flat spot on the starter, I had a 94
I bought new and at 5000 miles it started doing
the same thing.

New starter problem solved

You mean it will crank but not fire the first time but when you turn the key off then back on it will start right away ?? My 95 3.9 is doing the samething but I can figure it out either. I was thinking maybe the fuel pump is going away or maybe just a bad ground somewhere.
