Between 9pm 8/20/03 and 845am 8/21/03 one of our local fine young crooks stole my dak from the shop.

Anybody in Central Texas please keep an eye out for my baby. It's a very distinct Dak. '93 Ext Cab 4X4, Dark Green, Stock height. Has a black painted Dear Killer 1/2 brushguard bumper on the Front, Black painted 4" Pipe Bumper on the back. Oakley sunglasses sticker on center of windshield, DoD Sticker on front windshield directly above driver, Plastic drop-in toolbox full of mechanic and welder tools. Bed is full of tranny/engine parts. A518 and A500 trannies in back & a Radiator. There's a $850 set of performance heads and 6 Qt's of Dark Yellow Boat Paint ($30/Qt) in the back seat. Glass packs & Dual outs exhaust. Paint is faded and there is Primer Red on the Hood & Top of cab. Aftermarket extra wide tow mirrors. Texas LP is mounted on right side of rear bumper and the LP Light is hanging from the wire. Large dents/scratches over the entire body. Cobra Heads for door locks. Not been washed in last 6 months.

All I got to remember my Dak by is the pieces of broken driver side glass on the ground and both sets of keys.

Anybody see my truck plz call the cops and then kick the driver square in the Johnson (2,3,4 or however many times you feel like it) I would REALLY appreciate it.

Thx 4 any assistance,
Shank

Good News: They found my truck....

Bad News:
1) It was abandoned in a parking lot 16 miles away with a huge puddle of fluid under it and a strong smell of gas.
2) I have to pay the towing ($75)& storage ($15/day) until monday when the Investigator can fingerprint it.
3) I can't touch it until Monday to find out what they broke.
3) I have to make the repairs out-of-pocket. Insurance will cover anything over $500 (Deductable).
4) I had 3 miles on the newly rebuilt tranny! Needed adjustments, It would shift so hard it would give you whiplash.
5) The fluid strongly looked/smelled and felt like tranny fluid. Blew the Pump or Torque Converter??? If it looks like a Duck, Quacks like a Duck..... you know the rest.

Grrrrrrrrr, I could hardly sleep last night imagining my truck being chopped to pieces in somebody's garage. Now I can just imagine how much sleep i'm going to get trying to guess what broke until I get to look @ my truck. It's locked up behind another vehicle and all I can see is the front tires forward.

BUT, at least I know where it is now.

Bummer,

I know how that feels, I had a car stollen years
ago, my girl friend at the time came over before
I went to work and said where is your car, I said
out there where I always park it. I had to look
outside and sure enough it was gone.

The cops aske me where the keys were and I reached
in my pocket and said here they are.

2 days later and 120 miles away they found it out
of gas with 2 broken windows and my speakers were
also gone. $150 just to get it back.
