I want to put a flowmaster 40 series on my truck with dual exhaust. How much would it roughly cost for that and a cat back system to be installed. What is the most cost effiecient way for this to be done with the most power gain.

the most power gain would be to get a large (2.5 or 3")single exhaust...na v6s work better with one exhaust..

If I were to go with a single output exhuast would it be any different if I get a cat back that split at the end to give the apperance of a dual exhaust????

Near the end of the pipes, to give it the apperance of a dual exhaust system. And about how much would this cost me?
Thanks

I have a '98 3.9 with the flowmaster that usually goes on the chevy. It's 1 pipe in at factory size to 2 2.25" pipes coming out with 2.25" aluminized pipes and turndown chrome tips poking out the back for $375.00. This is in California. Hope this helps.

What if I get a dual output muffler, not a true dual exhaust, how would that effect the performance??
Thanks

I have an '89 Sport and am looking for a good catback exhaust system that would fit. I already removed the old cat, so fitment of the catback system to the cat is not important, I would simply add pipe to connect the "Y", or fit a highflow cat in between. I found Dynomax #WLK17443, but it's for a '92 - '96. Is the exhaust mounts, etc, that much different from GEN1 to GEN2?...Would it fit? Also, does anyone know if the chassis mount bushings are really different between the '89 2wd and 4x4? I wanna get new polyurethane bushings from Energy Suspension. Can I make them fit? Anybody? Bernd? Help!
