Is anyone driving the new 3.7L? I just bought a new dodge quadcab and the motor seems to be so new that no one is making any performance parts for it. JBA said they should have headers by year end, Kenne Bell has a supercharger for the Jeep Liberty 3.7L which is supposed to be the same engine but no idea if it will fit mine. Same go's for chips. FastMan is developling a ported throttle body but not available yet. If anyone else has any news about the 3.7L pleas post them...

Yup, Dodge is braggin about it too.
Biggest mistake Chrys Corp made was getting rid of the 4.0 I6. I loved that motor! had 2 different jeeps with the motor & never had near same problems i've had with my Dak.
Oh, well maybe not the BIGGEST mistake, there was the K-Car.

The K-car brought Chrysler back from going under. Though not the high light in performance, the K-car was brilliant. The initial Plymouth Voyager, Dodge Caravan-- were all based on the K-car platform.
Without the K-car-- No Viper, no Dakota, no nothing.
You should go to the Walter P. Chrysler museum in Auburn Hills, MI. Lots of amazing things to see and learn.

Didn't "financial planners" at Chrysler cause the company's slide into near bankruptcy in the late 1970s? Same thing is happening at GM and Ford now. Take money out of product development, the company eventually has no new products to sell, consumers buy elsewhere. Take a look at the cars in a Ford showroom - a real yawner.

I agree with Ford being a Yawner. Theres like nothing they make that impresses anyone. I have a friend who's a mechanic and he pretty much refuses to work on the 96 and newer Fords because of the tollerance allowed with the cats and O2 sensors. Fords answer is for everyone to buy new cats and O2 sensors. I could see if it was isolated but everyone I know who owns a Ford has had this problem often.
Wouldn't want any other!

ford can't make a descent sports vehicle, they make the body, ex. F150, CONTOUR, FOCUS,and send it to the "SPECIAL VEHICLE TEAM" for some horsepower.
chrysler is top dog!!!

they did mods to the auto tranny to make it faster but its still not worth putting money into......!!! if you want power get a hemi and do the mod to it!!!!
