Has anyone put this combo (with MSD 8.5mm wires) in
a stock V6? Mine is a 98, and I have read pros and
cons about it. Do you need a adaptor harness or will in
wire into the stock setup? How hard is it to do? Thanks.

The MSD was one of the first mods I did,

MSD 8.5 wires
MSD 6a
MSD Blaster ss coil

Just get the 2 pin conector from MSD and your all
set.

The 2 exsisting coil wires go to the signal and
on off on the MSD Box a ground wire and 12 volt +

and run the 2 wires from the MSD box to the coil
and that's it.

On a stock motor you will not gain very much it
will smoth out your idle some and feel stronger
on the low end and a little better gas milage.

But if you decide to do more mods like bigger TB
1.7's and a cold air intake it will help more.

Be sure you gap your plugs at .050 with this setup
the Autolight 3924's at .050 run very well. If
you do more mods you can drop 1 heat range to the
3923's

Mine has over 30,000 miles and no probs except
they do go through caps faster but well worth
the money.

The MSD is the only aftermarket units we will
install at our shop, the Jacobs like to just
take a crap for no reason and you will have a
fight on your hands trying to get them to replace
it or refund your money.

Where is J&J located anyway? How is the Amsoil oil? Is it worth the money? What would you use it in?
