Where can I get a good replacement timing chain?

I've read here where some of the guys have replaced with a dual chain and added a tensioner. My '96 is rattling very loudly and I figure I better replace before she breaks or jumps time.

TIA
Daveo.

I would go with a double roller. First off you need to make sure it is your t-chain. I do this with a timing light. If your mark is moving all of the place with the distrib set then its the chain.

If you get a certain mopar kit it will come with a new tensioner, however its hard as heck to find a double roller kit.

Note: depending on what chin you go with you just as well buy new sprockets.

I just did a t-chain. Mopar performance double roller chain and sprockets. I purchased them at Summit. Summit doesn't list them in their catalog so call and ask. It was around $60. I have a 94 Dakota with 135,000 miles. She runs alot better. I also replaced the lifters (1 callapsed lifter) $114 for rollers lifters for a v-8 same year. Part numbers are the same as v-6.
Go back and read the post on this site, lots of good info of how to reset injector timing.
Good luck Bob

The Mopar part # for the tensioner is 53021195AA, it lists for $39.35. Cloyes and Sealed Power both make double roller kits that come with replacment gears.
