I put a set of Autolite 3924's in the Dak last night but didnt gap 'em. Should I pull them all out & gap them or just forget about it?

If your truck is running good it won't hurt anything, most of them come gapped pretty close out of the box. But you won't get optimum power out of them unles there correctly gapped.

I would make sure they are gapped correctly. J&J Auto I believe also said that you could gap them at 50 instead? Don't quote me on that, ask him, he knows a great deal about the 3.9

Do not gap them to .050 unless yuou have the msd. You can go .005 over stock w/3923 or 3924 according to Larry. You may be ok, but I take em back out and double check, shouldnt take a few minutes.

Yea, I'll pull 'em back out tonight & gap 'em. Seems to idle a little rougher now but maybe thats just me. What is the factory gap anyways? I can look when I get home, but does anyone know righ off hand? Its a 97 4x4 3.9.
I bought this truck from my Dad two months ago, it has 127000 miles on it so I've been going through it and doing all the maintence / tune up stuff to it (timing chain, K&N fipk, plugs, cap rotor etc...) so I crawl under it last night to look at the cat. and it looks like its never been changed !! I called my Dad this morning and he says that he never had to change it. That thing has got to be like a solid brick by now. So thats next on the fix it list.

.050 with a msd and msd coil.

If you got the A3924 reg plug gap factory
some are .035 and some .040

If you got the AP3924 platnuim tip gap it .005
over factory .040 or .045

Look under your hood its on a sticker listed
for what they gaped them at in your truck. If
not go by the year and see what it was.
