 Subject: Question about my new V6

I just got a 03 Dakota SXT and was reading about what gas to put in it and was wondering if I should go with 87 or 89 octane. I was thinking of using 89 but that won't hurt anything will it. I have always used 87 in all my other vehicles. It's just the 3.9 V6. Any help on keeping it running strong would be greatly appreciated.

You can run the 87 but if you get any piston ping
jump up to 89 it won't harm your engine at all,
I ran 93 in my trucks when they were brand new
it seamed to give better milage. I am running 93
in the hemi truck and gained 1 mpg and it
recomends 87
