hello all.
I recently bought a 03 RC 4x2 v6 Dak (has just over 450 miles on her)and so for I love it. was looking at this one and a s-10 and I'm extermly happy wiht my choise.
I've been been checking out hte forum for info on the dak and so far have found a lot of great info but i do have some questions.
1. looking for a throttle body I've seen some post on here about F&B or F&F (not sure if thats a TB or not) and about using a v8 TB I under stand that the throttle linkage needs to b changed/modified but what is the going rate on a aftermarket TB and the v8 TB. (ball park prices and links if possible)
2. Exhaust over all who do you guys think is the best performer, was thinking about going with dyno max (from what I've read sounds like the best bang for the buck).
3. jet chip stage 1 or 2 is it worth the money and will i see a jump in performance numbers?

thanks in advance for the info.
Shawn

A word of caution, if you use the AC, pay CLOSE ATTENTION to your passenger side floorboard! Many, and I mean MANY Gen 3 Daks have a big problem with AC runoff draining back from the firewall, underneath the passenger side carpet and soaking it big time. This board is full of posts from guys (me included) who've had to put up with this. One guy had only had his new '03 4.7 for less than 2 months when he discovered it, so a word to the wise...

1. The best bang for your buck would be the v8 throttle body. You will have to use a throttle cable from a v8 also.

2. Get rid of your third CAT. Get a single in dual out (2.25") flomaster muffler, and take it to a exhaust shop for duals.

3. Don't wast your money on the chip it does the same thing as relocating your IAT. Just search for IAT relocate and you will find EXACTLY how to do it.

There are also some other easy/cheap things to do to your truck: S-bolt, Cold Air Intake, O2 Simmulator, Autolite 3923 plugs etc...

Nice to hear u got you a new truck. I like dynomax mufflers the best cuz to me they sound the best and they arent that expensive. Well good luck with your dakota.

Mopar or Nocar
