i have a '88 dakota its slow slow with poor poor mpg i could live with the mpg if it was a little quicker i have no low end decent mid range and poor high end i am running 255/65/15 k&n air filter dynomax high flow cat no muffler had a dynomax muffler but cut it off wasn't loud enough but that didn't make a difference in power at all new bosch platnium plugs what can i do to get some power or better fuel economy thanks for any advice or suggestions

first off, no muffler is killing your back pressure, hence horrible low-end response. second, in my opinion, bosch plugs SUCK, try a set of autolites. the tall tires on the back arent helping matters either.what engine do you have?

i have 3.9 l with 2.5" exhaust i had no low end below i cut the muffler

if i was going to cut the cat what do i do with the air inlet

my truck has a 3-speed auto so i am figuring that the rearend ratio is fairly high maybe 3.54:1 i am just guessing though
