I thought I finally had my truck topper sold... I should have known from the sh*tty grammar this dude used that he wasn't legit. I had this feeling deep inside, but with it involving $500, the money was talking.

Now I'm just trying to think of a reply... I think I'm gonna write up a quick batch file to wipe out his hard-disk. The law can't do jack sh*t to these scammers since they are actually based in Africa so I'll be best taking it into my own hands. The nice thing about batch files is with about 5 lines of code you can completely destroy the computer...well until they reload all their stuff. God, I thought I finally had it sold...

ya im in the u.s. coast guard in south florida and we heard about these a couple of months ago. they did it to a guy selling his boat. the price was for something like 200,000 and they over paid by like 50,000 and gave him that line of crap and the guy got scammed of his boat.

Can you explain the scam? He gives you more than what you ask for then he wants you to send his change. Will giving him the change be the scam or is the scam that you assume that the cashiers check will clear as you send him your merchandise.

You nailed it on the second part... I got a friend of my dad's who's a cop. Maybe I should keep corresponding with this dude and when his shipper comes, have my dad's friend be here with me to await his arrival:) Of course, it's prolly just a hired international trucking company so they dude wouldn't know what was going on... oh well.

Harvey, it seems he wants the seller to send him real money while the cashier's check is fraudulent or it will never arrive. Or he wants his address and phone number and all other kinds of info so the damn african can screw him. Never trust anyone from Africa.

Of course genious GB here just recently sold his computer and forgot to save that email addy... If the dude emails me again, his comp goes down. I'll write the code up tonight. If I receive any other scams, their comps will go down too. The best part is that 2 can play their little games. They can't get in trouble because they are in Africa and I can't get in trouble by their government because I am not in Africa:)

By the way... I'm gonna see if I can get a lil cash from these retards myself. I'm gonna sell two rolex watches for really cheap and when the scammers mail me about it with their scam I'll tell em I don't have any extra money and need them to slip a certain amount of cash inside a folded piece of paper and mail it to me so I'll have the money to pay for shipping. Maybe if I'm really lucky I can turn the tables a little bit:)
