Here's a pic of the ExTang Tuff Tonno III

Just in case anyone what's to see what they look
like. I like the cover, easy on and off with the
J Strip design. Have not checked MPG with cover
yet but I did notice the wind don't whip my truck
around like it used to on the highway

I took it in my garage because its raining here

Pretty sharp Larry...My Sportsmaster Tonneau didnt improve my mileage much...not in town anyway. heres a quick Q...00 Dak,3.9 K&N filter, Gibson Cat-Back,and Mobil 1 in the crank case. I avg.11 MPG town, and managed a 19 MPG on the highway(at varying speeds with traffic, no higher than 85) I can live with 19...but 11? My next trick is Autolite 3923's, Amsoil in the trans and rear diff...any other low dollar mods that might help?

how couldn't it improve it?i understand in city but overall it should have jumped...my tonneau wasn't a extang but i think it was called sportmasters..had snaps and 3 bows..when i went to lake placid from amsterdam here in ny i got 24mpg with my wife and some luggage doin 55mph on the northway..that was right after i put in duralube in the oil and changed my plugs and wires..i wish i could do that now..without the cover and just synthetics i get 17-19 mpg overall at 180k...maybe i bought 1 of the good dodges..i hope..
ps. the motor only takes maybe..and i mean maybe a quart every 3000..but rarely

I will check my milage soon, I run all Amsoil
synthetics, motor, trans, trasfer case, and the
rear ends, I even grease it with the Amsoil syn
with the moly in it.

I have 85,000 on the truck and never repalced any
front end parts yet all still tight.

It did seam to help the performance using all
synthetics, befor the cover I averaged around 23
mpg. Does very well for a 4X4 with a stroked
and modified V6
