I have a 97 Dakota with the 3.9. i would like to know if a computer out of a newer model truck would work. I am asking because i would like to get the super chips programer, but it is only for the 98 and later ones. I heard that Dodge changed the computers in 98, and that is the reason that the programer is just for those years. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, for the info Larry, that looks like a good posability for me. I have a slighty smaller tire on my Dak, so i have hit the cut off quite a few times on the Interstate. The smaller tires make it read faster than its actually going. The cut off was a big reason i wanted one of the programers. Were you happy with the power gains that you got from the ASE chip?

Thanks,

Nick
