Anyone know the general cost for the parts to do the timing chain mod shown on Speedtweaks tips n tricks? I need to get rid of that nasty rattle. I will be replacing the rockers as well.

Timing chain mod? That's a TSB from the dealer...warranty work.

About $70-$80 in parts and about 1.5 hours to replace the chain.

Thanks again Bernd!
Mines a 96 I think the warranty work is out of the question. Will this mod will still work for mine though?

I have a 1994 Chevrolet Corsica. About how much will a timing chain cost for this and about how long will it take?

Much cheaper to put a shotgun in your mouth and blow your brains out.

People who know you will be glad.

Questions about timing chain.
I have a 99 DD Sport. V6 Manual I just reached 100000 miles. SHould I change the timing chain? How many more miles might I be able to get out of this one? Truck has no problems nor rattling noise.

Well I know the 99's have a tensioner, that comes from the FSM itself. I don't know about a mileage guideline for replacement though.
