Subject: Head bolts, retorq? compression is?
IP: Logged

Message:
Should I retorq the head bolts while I have the intake manifold off? I'm changing lifters and timing chain, 135000 miles, 94 Dakota 3.9

Does anyone know how much compression I should get? PSI please

Thanks, Bob

Probably isn't necessary, with an engine with high milage i would worry about disturbing the gaskets, however i know that some manufacturers recommend retorquing the heads at certain intervals. Any dodge techs here??

Not nessasary unless you remove the heads.

around 100 to 120 lbs 9.2 comp.

Here you can find a bunch of specs for the 3.9
