Yeah,
So my '93 dak ext cab is bleh. I took the bed off...because i was bored and wanted to see how the frame was...rusty...ima clean it up soon, and put another thing of 3M coating on there (there was originally some on there, so ill leave the exsisting, and put on new stuff where it needs it).

Anyways, my muffler is rusted to $hit. I need a new one, and Im wondering if a high flow muffler would be good vs a cat-back. I believe a cat-back would be the muffler, and then the rest of the piping correct? All I need to replace is the muffler...and the tubing is 3in (stock).

Basiclly im asking, would getting a high flow muffler really benifit me and is there a big difference with a muffler and cat-back system?

Also, what muffler should I get? I found a flowmaster 40 series at truckperformance for 100 bucks.

hey ray. Are you asking if you need the whole cat-back system? If you already have 3 inch pipes, then just the flowmaster 40 serious would be enough. Unless of course your pipes are really rusted too.

The pipes arent rusted at all. Those are fine and dandy...now that i think of it though, are the '93 daks 3 inches, or more like 2.5?
