Can anyone tell me in theory, what exactly does raising the voltage on the tps sensor do? I adjusted mine to around .73-.75 volts and the truck seemed to backfire through the throttle body alot if i got on it. I put it back to factory and it is fine. I've got the autolite plugs in, not sure if i like them, truck seems more doggy now than the factory plugs, got the 180 stat in, k&n homebrew, IAT location didn't really make a difference. I'm saving some money for a flowmaster 40 or 50 series hoping that will help. Truck just seems to spit and sputter and has to warm up even on hot days. Still got that 2400 rpm thing that everyone seems to have. Does the 180 stat have anything to do with the truck sputtering more than it did before? Does anyone have these similar problems and if so what did you do, i'm ready to put it all back to factory. Thanks

Hilarious dbcmaster. That movie was funny. I have a 92 and I dont notice anything at 2400rpm, its just under 2100rpm that it is hard to get it moving. Go witha KN.

Usually those mods don't work just as is but when they come together they work pretty good. I haven't heard of anyone having backfire problems when doing the TPS mod. Actually for me it gave a little better top end.

Wouldn't want any other!
