Not really 93DakSport. It doesnt matter who put them on there. But I do get your point. I got mine w/120k miles and dont know what was done to the truck prior. I now have 137k and have put brakes all around, wheel cylinders and a starter, all for under $200. I dont think 200k in a dak counts good if its had a new engine, tranny etc. Who has the highest mileage original Dakota. Original engine, tranny, rearend etc. As far as I know mine is, but when I purchased it the power steering rack was leaking and had to be replaced which would have been $200-500 but we made them do it.

Not the highest I see here, but all 153,000 miles are mine on a 1998 Flame Red 3.9L V6 5spd Dakota Sport. Still looking new in and out - this truck gets everything and anything it needs. My wife says it gets more attention than she does.

Still love my truck!

All 300,000 miles on our Dakota were put there by hubby with the exception of maybe 5,000 or so I may have gotten to drive it. He is in construction and drives 1000 or more a week.

Its back on the road with a less than perfect rebuild on the trans.

I'm beginning to think that hubby and truck are trying to see who is gunna out last the other.

This has been one tuff truck.

My '93 finally back on the road with less than a perfect tranny rebuild also. Original Tranny survived 203K. Engine lasted until 217K. Heck I'm good for another 200k now :)

Ive noticed in most vehicles (Sunbird, Camaro, Dakota) that at around 100k miles the underbody starts to rattle. Maybe its just 3 of 5 vehicles Ive had has done it. Its like an excessive shake after going over bumps. Even more noticable when your foot isnt on the gas pedal. Im guessing its all the bushings that connect steering. I noticed the bushings that connect the steering arm to the wheels (I believe control arm), are cracking and peeling away. So, Im assuming this causes excess vibration or shaking through the steering wheel and gas pedal. It cannot be noticed through the passenger side (cuz when Iget a ride home in it, it rides very nice), but only through the steering wheel and gas pedal, and a little in brake pedal.

Ive always wondered what made cars w/good running engines and trannys get old. Maybe its as simple as bushings, I plan to change to Energy Suspension polyurethanes next summer. Is this what makes a car feel old and worn out, the bushings??? It makes sense to me, but could bushkings actually play that vital of a role?

Does anyone know of the shake that I am talking???

157000+ original miles. I bought it with only 331 miles from the dealer. No one wanted a long bed. Best looking 91 around unless you have a show truck. Truck has been completely repainted due to hail damage and hood peeling. Only three major fixes. 33000-replaced the tranny due to broken OD gear, replaced the computer due to a short in the distributor, and replaced all the rocker arms, pushrods and rocker arm shafts due to a noisy rocker arm. No problem doing a burnout and ~19-20 MPG @70 MPH.
