 Subject: fyi,bad gasket

i'm changing my tb over tonite.just so you know a dodge mech told me to check my gasket inside the intake while my tb is off.he said look to see if it's sucked in or curving or lots of oil,cause all the paper gaskets do it.they make a metal gasket for it now it's a warranty item but no recall.

Yeah, its called the "belly pan" gasket.
Most on here know bout it but its cool to tell those who may not.
You dont have to have the TB off to look though, just manually open the butterflies and look in, if theres a fairly heavy film of oil in the bottom oi the intake its probably blown.
