 Subject: Truck will Not shift

I did the TPS Modificatioin on my 2000 V6 rc 2wd.
It was at .53 and now I put it at .73V. My problem is the transmition light is on know and I don't Know why and how to fix it. I did all your directions off of speedtweaks and know It is doing this. Then I put It back to the old V. and the light went off but the car takes a long time to shift up a gear. A real long time. Please let me know how to fix this.

I couldn't shift into any gear I brought my truck in and it was the master cylinder and the slave cylinder that might be your problem.

I don't know for sure...I haven't tried this mod...but it seems strange to me that the TPS mod would affect the transmission. Are you sure you weren't adjusting the TV cable instead of the TPS...on the other side of the throttle body?

i just bought a 96 dodge dakota.i knew this before i bought it....the transmission will not shift itself.how hard would it be to fix or do i need to do a full tranny swap? i have rebuilt a tranny before but that was for a '79 ford.

you should start a new thread
Auto or Stick
If Automatic the 96 is a RE elec gov presure
control well known for the presure sensor and sol
going bad around $200 chrysler only part do that
change fluid and filter use +4 or a good syn
fluid only no elcheepo fluids
go from there
