Subject: V8 throttle body conversion

I am trying to change my throttle body, as we speak, throttle cable to short on the Holly TB V8, can I change the brackets, which will not line up my transmission cable? PLease respond ASAP trucks torn apart.

what year truck and throttle body are you dealing with? you can switch the cable bracket from one to the other. the only other roadblock would be your throttle cable not snapping on to the throttle control. did you port the intake opening?

thanx for replying,but i guess i'm an idiot,the cable that was short was my cruise cable,other than that everything is perfect fit.i have no idea were the tb is from or what it,s off of.it looks the same even the sensors but says holley v8 on it.the bracket on the side is what differs but my throttle and downshift cables fit like a glove so go figure.i'm putting her back on tonight,good thing it's a quik job.thanx again

sorry jeff i have a 99 cc 4x4,and no i didn't port it.i have no idea what to do.my buddy works at a wrecker and snagged the tb for me so he has no idea how old or were it's from,looks good though.
