Sorry that this is a little long. i have a hesitation while accelerating but not every time, and not just when first getting going. i can be cruising along at 35mph and push it to 3/4 throttle and it will start to accel and then just fade away smoothly, then it snaps back after usually 3-8 seconds all the while still at 3/4 throttle. i am a GM mechanic, but my dodge is sort of different to figure out. i am thinking it is retarting timing or going lean. fuel psi is great and it is freshley tuned up. i also replaced the tps, but no help. by the way it is a 92 3.9 auto. thank you very much for any insight.

Put the Key in the ignition
Turn the key to the "Run" position (The one right below start)
Move back to the "On" Position
Turn the key to the "Run position
Move back to the "On" position
Turn the key to the "Run position
Move back to the "On" position

The "P" codes will appear in the odometer, flashing the codes, one by one, and then it will flash "P DONE" when you've reached the end of the codes. Then you can look up the codes at.....

DakAttack you was thinking with the wrong "HEAD"

The man said he has a "92" it's not obd2, he will need a scan tool for obd1

dakattack has the right idea, but forthe wrong year truck

turn key to the on -then off
on-then off
then on-leave on

count the flashes,on check engine light
the light should flash-one short pause then two,
this is code 12,means begining of codes or the codes have been cleared in the last 50 starts

after code 12 there will be a longer pause, then
more flashes, the first series of flashes is the first number in code,

the second series of flashes is the second number in code

5 flashes followed by 5 flashes code 55 end of codes

do this several times to double check your codes
every thing between 12&55 are working codes

check the volts on the tps,if i remember right .7 volts this can make a dead spot, also index your dist.,harmonic bal at 0 TDC,#1 on compression, remove dist cap, rotor button pointing
at #1 plug wire, looking down inside dist theres a line on the plastic electronic pickup, line rotor button up with this line[metal end]this will help timing

hope this helps
