That happened to me in my 00 Dakota sport with the 3.9L. What happened was my tensioner arm for the serpentine (sp?) belt busted. Ended up costing my a new battery, arm, belt....Hope your problem is easier. But mine died the same way, was on cruise and pressure dropped and truck died. Hope it helps.
