I just finished aligning the timing on my 93V8DD and it is running better than ever. I have replace near everything trying to get rid of the code 27 and rough idle and running. I put the Electronic Fuel Injector book and the Manual for my DD together and figured the problem had to be in the distributor/timing. Remember computor (SMEC) controls idle and firing. But it cannot adjust fast enough if the line on the (damper) is not at TDC or (0). And the rotor is pointing at the #1 cylinder mark on the (hall effect) see your Haynes book. The number one piston only needs to be on its compression stroke. After all this clear the codes and don't unplug anything. If a componet is unplugge it will show up on the hand held testers or even the code check on the dash. Give this stuff a try and email me at dibberdott@zoominternet.net see ya
