I finally got my 40 series dual put on.i love it except for one thing, around 2500 rpm it sounds a little ricey. is there any way to tune it down a little bit.

Sure,
You could put a "resonator tip" on it.
They are straight through, but if you look inside one, you will see the serrated internals that reduce the "buzz" or the "droan."
You can get them most anywhere ($26 at JCW.com).
