Subject: roller rocker question?
IP: Logged

Message:
Next mod I am looking at is installing 1.7 roller rockers but am not sure weather to get the aluminum or ssteel. My trucks a daily driver, and I am only looking for a little more get up and go to keep up with the V8's. No racing or towing, just some amature off-roading. In the future I will be getting an electric fan and MSD 6A, JBA headers, and 48mm FMTB. For those of you who run,or has run the Comp Cams aluminum kit, what do you think of them?

Its a 96 3.9 4x4 ext cab
Current mods: Ported TB, FM 50 SUV muffler, and Intense intake, 180 tstat,3923,s, and IAT adjuster.

I've heard of installation issues with the CompCams kit. Stick with the Mopar set (they're built by Crane) and they work just as good as my Crower set (only about $150 less expensive).

Thanks Bernd!
I was hoping you would be one of the people to reply. do you think the aluminum set will hold as long as my stock, and will there be any noise difference in the engine comp?

I think I will go with the aluminum Mopar set like Bernd recommends from KRC. That will leave a little extra $$ for the electric fan.
