hey i was wondering what exhaust would offer the best tone for my 3.9, i have a 2000 club cab and dunno which one to buy, or where to buy it, should i order it somewhere online or try and tackel it myself, ive got the tools just have never done it, also performance gains are pretty insignificant to me, i just want a bit of a rumble at idle and a mean sound when i accelerate,
thanks allot for the help!

Dynomax 17748 or a flowmaster 50

You don't need to change the whole exhaust just
the muffler the rest is ok with the single 2.5
tail pipe.

click on online catalog

I've been running the Flowmaster 50 series for a year now. Its a nice rumble at idle but on acceleration it has a drone from idle till 2000. At that point it has a mellow reverb sound till around 2700. After that its rather irritating with a loud drone in the cab. Highway cruising it drones and is fairly loud in the cab. Overall I like it but Im thinking a deeper less droning sound can be had from a Gibson catback system.

I heard the dynomax sound clip earlier this week and its not nearly as deep as the flowmaster. It has more of a buzziness to it. That was in park and revving it though. Under acceleration it may be different.

That would be the one.

Dynomax or the flowmaster 50 both are very good
choices.

There is no differance in performance.
