 Subject: Throttle Body Removal... HELP!

I was looking into removing and cleaning my nasty throttle body, but Im not too sure how to remove the throttle linkage. Does everything just unbolt? Is it that simple, or is there more to it than unscrewing some bolts. Thanks a lot guys!

It just clips into place, takes about 30 seconds to undo. Why remove it? Open it by hand (with the truck off) and spray some carb cleaner on the throttle plates, you can use an old toothbrush to scrub it if you want, but usually just the spray or your finger works fine.

Definatelly take the time to take it off, it's worth the effort. If you look very closely at the plastic clips you will realize how it works. Also there was a lot of grime underneath the TB I didn't want running down in my engine. I just cleaned mine last night and the IAS was totally full of carbon. I had experienced erratic idle and the truck wanting to stall when put in park. Cleaned the IAS very carefully with a tooth brush and made sure the slot where it fits was completely clean as well. No more idle issues.
Also make sure you pick up a new TB gasket.

where exactly is the throttle body? I know I am having some idling problems myself. It was suggested by the dealer that I have some work done on it. I knew I could do it myself. Could somebody help me out with the location? Thanks.

You REALLY don't wanna see my engine that close!
It's definately purty, You polish the TB yourself or buy it that way? I saw a post here somewhere about detailing your TB to get smoother Air Flow.
Oh yeah..... What songs you play w/your trumpets?
