Is there any way you can increase the hp of a v6 without affecting the fuel consumption?
And vice versa, is there any way to improve the fuel effiency without affecting hp?

You can increase the hp with little to no decrease in fuel efficiency. By getting more air to the engine, it will adjust and add more fuel, thus slighty decreasing MPG. Adding a good ignition will optimize the fuel consumption, producing peak power, which allows truck to get better MPG.
