I would like to upgrade my 3.55 gears to 3.92, or even 4.10. But heres my ?, i have a 00 4x4 RC, is it possible to change the gears? or do i have to change the gears for both axels. Anyone know aprox cost, is this something you can do yourself? any info would be great!

You'll need to change the both to match. Otherwise, you seriously risk breaking differentials and/or driveshafts. $1000 for a gear swap on both axles is about the average (with a 12mo/12K mile warranty from the shop).
You can do it yourself, but make sure you've got a dial indicator and the proper tools to set the backlash.
