Howdy,

I have a 03 Dodge Dakota SXT CC, 3.9L V6. There is a small water leak coming coming from a small rubber drain / plug that looks like it might line up with the heater core. This is located on the passenger side behind the block coming from the firewall.

I checked out the water coming from the rubber port (whatever it's called), it appears to just be normal water no antifreeze or coolant in it (I tasted it, no sweet aroma or taste to it ). Is this normal? I figure I'll call the dealership and speak with the tech who works on our truck and see what he thinks but I thought I would ask here first and see if anyone else has noticed any kind of drainage coming from a similar location.

Is it coming from the rubber tube that lets water drain out of the a/c evaporator (which is next to the heater core). If so then thats normal whenever the a/c or the defroster is on. It's just condensation from in the truck draining off the evaporator.
