 Subject: check engine light

98 dakota 3.9. check engine light came on. took it to auto zone, they told me it's a code p1494. anyone know what this means? truck runs excellent. i unhooked the batt. to clear the code, it stayed off for a day or so then came back on again.

Haynes describes it as "Leak detection pump SW or mechanical fault" Hope that helps.

I have same truck and engine. My light would come on for a few days, then go out for a few. Dodge replaced an o-2 sensor, been fine since.
